I had a train table that was homemade. Because space is always an issue I had an idea to incorporate the light table into the train table and only have 1 piece.
I built an insert into the inside of the table.
Then I had come across used pieces of plexiglass for only $2 each. I spent a fair amount on spray frost to frost the plexiglass.
I also had a bunch of Christmas lights that were given to me.
I lined the base and side of the table with tinfoil and foil tape for duct work. Put the lights in and set the plexiglass on top.
I love the size, plenty big enough for all 6 kids. Now I just have to install curtains to darken this very bright second story bonus room.
