Who am I and What I do...
I am a Professional Childcare Provider, not a babysitter. My goal is to provide your child with a clean, safe, comfortable environment where they can play and learn with guidance and loving care while you are at work. In order to make our relationship as enjoyable as possible the following are some mutual beneficial requirements that are necessary to assure that there are no misunderstandings between either party, that each party is aware of the requirements, and that these requirements are carried out in a businesslike manner. I believe parent/provider communication is key to a successful childcare relationship. I strive to work with you as a team to provide a happy and safe environment for all the children.
I have provided childcare for 7 years, and have been a mother for 18 years. I have completed the certification for Early Childhood Development Level 1. I am currently taking Distance Education courses to further my education in the Early Learning and Childcare field. My plans are to finish a 2 year Diploma in 2 years with a Early Childhood Development Level 3. This will be accomplished in the evenings and weekends. My goal is to benefit the children I work with each day, by understanding their developmental needs, to provide high quality care, to show my commitment to this profession, which has long term benefits to young children and their families.
I keep current my Infant/Child CPR-First Aid certificate. My husband and I have passed the RCMP and Child Welfare Security checks. I provide a very clean, smoke free, cat free home. We do have a small, Shih Tzu dog that has grown up around the dayhome children and is very good around them. Very healthy snacks and a meal are supplied as well as a loving, nurturing and safe environment. We can cater to a celiac or food sensitive diet as we have a number of food issues in our family.
